Water quality sampling includes long-term and short-term monitoring, as well as chemical sampling, and biological monitoring through electrofishing and macroinvertebrate sampling.
The MCRP Water Quality Specialist and staff work together to collect long and short-term water quality data, as well as biological and chemical measurements for sampling sites within the Monday Creek Watershed.
Macroinvertebrate sampling supplies some of the data needed to determine if restoration projects throughout the watershed are having a positive impact on water quality
Electrofishing is completed as part of MCRP's biological monitoring program. Species diversity and abundance are a sign of good water quality.
